Hotel Policy

House Rules

  • Guests are asked not to gather in the hallways as this often creates excessive noise which disturbs other guests.
  • Keep guest room doors closed at all times to avoid noise disturbances.
  • Each room is limited to the number of guests registered in the room at the time of check in.
  • Parents and guardians are personally and legally responsible for children at all times.  Please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or anywhere on the property.
  • For health and safety reasons, all children, aged of 18 and under must be signed in by a parent or guardian prior to initial entry to the pool level.  All children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult in order to gain access to the swimming pool.  Children under 16 are not allowed in the fitness room.
  • Your own alcohol is only permitted in guest bedrooms and is prohibited in all other areas of the hotel including, but not limited to: hallways, lobbies, recreation centre, sports & leisure amenities and food & beverage outlets.
  • Consumption of food and beverages not purchased from the hotel is limited to your guest room only.
  • Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances, barbeques, or burners is strictly prohibited.
  • Only registered hotel guests may access the Sports & Leisure amenities. A guest fee will apply for non-registered guests.
  • Should housekeeping find any rooms damaged, in any way, the hotel will charge the credit card responsible for the room for all damages and/or cleanup fees.
  • Roller shoes, rollerblades and skateboards are not permitted in the hotel.
  • Pets are not permitted on hotel property.

If a complaint occurs due to the negligence of those occupying a guest room, disorderly conduct, unlawful activities, or repeated noise complaints, the offending guests may be evicted and/or receive additional charges to their account. If a guest is evicted, they are not entitled to any refund. If damages occur to the guest room or other areas of the hotel, the cost of the damage will be charged to the credit card registered upon check-in.

Check- In

Check-in is 3:00 pm or in late instances until midnight of the check-in date.  Each guest must check-in at the Front Desk, provide all required information (passport/National ID card, Credit Card information), and complete the registration/check-in form.  There’s a security deposit of $125.00USD which is required at check-in.  This deposit is used as a safeguard against damages, and is fully refunded at check-out.  A 5% surcharge is incurred when you check-in with a credit card, to avoid this surcharge you can opt to use another method of payment.

Check-Out

Check-out is 12:00 pm. We require each guest to check-out individually at the Front Desk. This is enforced so that housekeeping may begin cleaning your room as soon as possible.  If you require a later check-out, please contact Front Desk prior to the day of your departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request.  A charge may apply for late check-out.

Room Levy Policy

A mandatory room rate levy was implemented in Barbados across the tourism sector to all accommodation providers on July 1st 2018 of a fee to be applied to all bedrooms per night on the island according to the “Class” of the establishment.  Barbados Beach Club’s rate according to “Class” is $2.50USD per night and will be charged accordingly.

Dining

Please note, based on occupancy levels, our main dining room may or may not be open.  Buffets may be substituted for A La Carte or vice versa or both.

you can make advanced reservations with concierge to dine in the Reefview Restaurant twice a week.  Dining times are 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm & 8:30 pm.  

A casual and semi-casual dress code is in effect in the Veranda and Reefview Restaurants respectively.  No shorts, swimwear, sleeveless vests or blouses, towels.

Internet Access

The Internet access provided is free and the password can be obtained from our Front Desk Agents.  The internet is intended for general use such as access to the World Wide Web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is not prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.

Smoking

Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, snuff or chewing tobacco and the use of vapes is only allowed in the designated smoking area provided outside near the bar.  Smoking inside of the guest rooms, balconies and at the entrance of the Hotel is strictly prohibited and you will incur a charge of $250USD in accordance to the established smoking policy in Barbados.

Guests are encouraged to notify Front Desk staff immediately if they smell cigarette, marijuana, or other objectionable odors from guests’ rooms.   This policy is not intended to stop people from smoking, but to regulate where they smoke.  

Candles, Incense, Essential Oils

Candle, incense, essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) are prohibited.  These items and activities will be treated as smoking and can also trigger the property’s fire alarm system.  

Loyalty Program

Our guests are our family, and due to this we have created a program that shows how much we value and appreciate your commitment to Barbados Beach Club.  Our program is based on repeat visits and length of stays, where special packages are prepared for those loyalty members.  For any queries pertaining to our program, email our team at (frontdesk@barbadosbeachclub.com) or simply query upon arrival.

Special Request

We will make every effort to honor special requests such as a specific floor or room number, adjoining rooms, coffeemaker, kettle, etc. upon your arrival. All special requests are noted at front desk and we will do our best to accommodate.   

Visitors

No visitors after 10:00 p.m.  Visitors must notify Front Desk upon their arrival.  Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times.  Visitors are not allowed to use guest amenities, all-inclusive package, or Wi-Fi.  As a registered guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times.

Guests Transportation

Upon request, guests are provided for an additional charge with a transfer from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport or other specified destination.
Cancellation Guaranteed reservation without any penalties may be canceled up to 72 hours prior to arrival date in the summer time, in the winter you are guaranteed 14 nights prior to arrival date.  This is accomplished by sending a written request for reservation cancellation by e- mail (reservations@barbadosbeachclub.com) or by exact online reservation systems, where the booking was made.

In case of delayed cancellation or without informing the hotel about the cancellation, the hotel does not refund the pre-paid amount the guaranteed reservation.

If the guaranteed with credit card reservation is cancelled after more than 72 hours before the date of arrival in the summer or more than 14 nights before the date arrival in the winter, a penalty equal to the accommodation cost for the first 3 nights will be charged in the summer and 100% of the accommodation cost is charged in the winter as this is usually the “peak season” where the hotel is fully booked.

If a reservation is made through a mutual business partner of the Hotel via the online booking system, the cancellation shall be in accordance with their booking cancellation conditions.

Group Reservations

The procedures and fees for the cancellations of groups booked with Barbados Beach Club varies depending on the size factor, as the groups are usually between the sizes of; 11-30 individuals, 31-100 individuals and groups over 100 individuals.  For a detailed breakdown of the procedures and fees, reference our Sales Manager at (kim.howard@barbadosbeachclub.com). 

No Show Procedure

Failure to check in on scheduled arrival date for reservations guaranteed with credit card, will result in a no show fee being applied to your account.  This fee covers the cost of the rental of one room inclusive of taxes.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping is provided daily between the hours of 9:00 am-5:00 pm.  There’s absolutely NO-SMOKING in the rooms or on the balconies, including medical.  Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily and a detailed log is maintained on each room and linen.  Rooms are rented to guests in appropriate condition without any prohibited odor.  Housekeeping and Front Desk staff are trained and skilled in identifying the odors from prohibited items.  If our investigation concludes that you have smoked in your room, cooked, or brought a prohibited item into our facility, you will be fined or evicted without refund. 

Electronic Safes

Each room is equipped with an individual electronic safe to secure all personal belongings, treasured gifts and cash.  In instances where the safes are not being utilized for their intended purposes and loss occurs the hotel will not be liable.

Video Surveillance

Video surveillance systems operate in the hotel public areas and parts of the staff areas.  Video surveillance is being carried out for the guests’ and staff’s personal security and to ensure the high standard service for Barbados Beach Club hotel and restaurant guests and staff.

Additional information

In case of any medical, allergic or any other important factors that may adversely impact your stay, please inform the hotel staff at the time of your reservation or upon check-in.

Fire Safety Policy

The hotel is fully equipped with smoke detectors, fire safety information, and emergency evacuation plans on the door of each guest room.  Please review this important information.

Hotel Policy/House Rules

Barbados Beach Club reserves the right to cancel, amend or modify this policy at any time without prior notice.  Any modifications to this policy that occurs before your departure is also considered a part of your reservations agreement with us.
